About the Series

The Foozle Golf series looks at golf through humour, philosophy, ageing, friendship, failure, and stubborn optimism. Written by Sandy Par and published by Foozle Press.

The series includes practical guides, daily reflection books, comedy collections, and philosophy titles — all written for the golfer who knows the game is played as much in the mind as on the course.

Golf-minded rather than golf-limited.

About the Author

Sandy Par is a pseudonym adopted by the author, chosen for its resonance within the golfing community. Behind the name is a high-handicap golfer whose encounters with a full 18 holes are frequent, enthusiastic, and statistically unremarkable.

What began as a practical guide for new golfers has grown into a series of over fifteen titles spanning golf humour, Stoic philosophy, Epicurean wisdom, daily reflections, haiku, and the particular experience of playing badly for decades and loving every round of it.

Sandy Par plays off 18 and shows no sign of improving.

Key Titles

Golf Between the Ears — 365 daily golf reflections, Stoic-inspired
The Word "Nearly" — 216 numbered golf truths, comedy
The Unflappable Golfer — Stoic philosophy for 18 holes
The Epicurean Approach to the 19th Hole — philosophy, friendship, the bar
Golf Guide for Those Who Just Want to Play — the practical beginner's guide
